Motorcycle Adventure for Breast Cancer Survivors
 Linda
A. joined our chapter just over a year ago and has been an enthusiastic member
of the group,
both as a member of the executive (she's an activities officer)
and as a rider. In 2008 Linda racked up over 23,000 kilometres on her new Softail
Heritage. What's more, she has done this while fighting and survining breast
cancer, a disease she has
had for the past 10 years.
This
year Linda was chosen as one of the women to participate in the US Amazon
Heart Thunder, a ride
sponsored by Harley-Davidson in support of breast cancer. Each rider pays
her travel to the event and a minimal accommodation and registration
fee, and commits to raising $1,500 in fundraising donations for breast cancer
causes. To help Linda raise the required donations, this year's chapter
charity event on Saturday, September 5, will be a benefit ride for
breast cancer.
We encourage everyone to come out and support this worthwhile cause. You

Monday
A MILLION REASONS TO RIDE
What if H.O.G.® members around the world committed themselves
to riding “together” on one particular day? How far could they go? We’ll
find out on Million Mile Monday — Monday, June 29, 2009 — as H.O.G. members band
together and attempt to ride a cumulative million miles in one day. And we want
you to be a part of it!
Ride alone. Ride with friends.
Ride to work. Ride around the neighborhood. The point is, just ride (and
have fun)! When you’re done, log on to members.hog.com
to register your miles and watch the “virtual odometer” as it spins toward
5,000,000 – and
beyond! (Deadline: NOON CT, Tuesday, June 30.)
That’s all there is to it. Details about registering your miles will be available
on members.hog.com when you sign in. It’s just for fun, just for H.O.G. members,
and just a great excuse to make Monday more exciting by sharing the road with
fellow members around the world!

Hello All,
We have 44 people and 23 rooms assigned with 2 available for sharing (See
Santa or Gerry) plus 3 more reserved. Everyone on the To…list
have been assigned rooms.
All remaining e-mail
updates will be sent to only those who have rooms assigned to them.
Reminders of the event will be mentioned at the HOG meetings for those who
may decide to join in later.
Cancellations can be made up to two weeks prior
to the Ride. After that time, we are each responsible to pay for our assigned
rooms regardless of attendance.
Please review the attached document for remaining details and don't hesitate
